Last thing, I have to add. I didn't listen to the full interview, so forgive me if I have repeated things you've said or missed out on things you said. So if what I'm suggesting is already part of your vision, keep it up brother!!!

Sorry for the faulty grammar, couldn't see what I was typing, cause the text box kept on popping up. I meant to say, I would really like for your ambition and passion to be used in curriculum. Yes, you are right with saying that a lot of children are judged based on what they can't do. Problem is, the government provides an education system that caters for a specific system in order for the " rat race" to continue, however, the more people see your view and understand your statement and see the vision you have the more likely they will buy into it, not the government (for obvious reasons) they only look for personal gain and ways of building a stronger "money system" but the man/child who might fail in the "sick system" we live in and create his/her own "eco friendly way of living" off what they learnt by means of curriculum. See I came to know a lot about your work, through social media and have shared a lot of pictures with my class on what amazing work you do, it has gotten them to the point where they have their own ways of preserving plants, water etc at home. To cut to the point now, I wish that somehow through classroom practice in our "government schools" where you have "48" learners where 23 of them can read and leave school with that knowledge of "living a greener lifestyle" and 25 who can't read, at least have practical experience of "living a greener lifestyle" if you understand what I'm trying to say. Basically, a way that more schools can benefit from your ideas and techniques, through education. Cause let's face it, they're not going to "break schools down" and build new ";eco friendly schools" cause like I said and you know, what will they gain from it, but it can be introduced into the curriculum, it will reach those 80% of learners who can use it for themselves if they don't "succeed" putting it in brackets, cause that's according to the system. It's 3:50 a.m. hope I at least got the right message accross.

I feel really proud listening to a good friend and inspirational grown-up, who I grew up with and am really proud of knowing. Your take on education is profound, however as a teacher in a government school, a lot has changed and from my own experience, what you say about "how teachers speak to learners are very important" and I practice it. Cutting to the point here, honestly, the situation in the schools first has to change DRASTICALLY, I myself have 49 learners in a gang infested area(Bonteheuwel) and it does help telling those children that "they are good at something" doing it for 48 others are quite a challenge. We can't really take learners outside and experience the outdoors etc. Cause as you know, bullets fly around there every second day. I would love for your ambition and to become more of a way of life in "the city" cause they really need it. I will do my best to share your views with those around me. I just had to make it known to you, that there are teachers who strive to do things differently and instill a sense of "I can" in children. So no hard feelings, just some insight brother. Keep up the amazing work you're doing and may you reach far more minds and inspire more than you can imagine possible. I salute you and again, keep up the go o d work.
